Well, we're not sure what the name for a person for Charlotte us, but we are getting ready to be one...I am pretty sure it's not Charlottan, so how about Charlottonian? We'll take it.
Anyhow, we'll be using this blog to keep y'all posted as to what God is doing in the Mark family as well pack up and move to Charlotte.
For those who don't know, we'll be moving this month in order for Alex to become a full-time student at Reformed Theological Seminary. We're some unique combination of excited/ anxious/ curious all at the same time. We will also be part of an AWESOME ministry in Charlotte called Apartment Life, where God will allow us to serve the people of the aparment complex where we will be living.
We haven't decided about what Stef will be doing. We would love for her to stay home and take care of Joshua (aside from the obvious benefits, the practical side is that day cares are extremely expensive, and we'd lose half of her salary by him being in one all day). She has had some calls about jobs, but nothing that we really plan to pursue.
Alex will be preaching regularly back at Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church, and that will be a welcome time for us to visit our dear friends back in Dillon. He will also be serving as an aid to Dr. Kelly, who will actually be abroad this first year.
